Two Versions of A New Perspective are
Available
Both editions assume that the reader has no
prior experience with perspective. They are, however, written for
beginners and advanced artists in mind.
Even if you are not an artist, the new
scientific breakthroughs contained here can still be used by anyone
with an interest in imagery and three-dimensional form.

Each book is personally signed by the author when ordered
here, directly from the publisher (for a limited time).

The Photography & Filmmaking Edition
A New and Essential Understanding of Perspective Applicable to:
Directing, Camerawork, Visual Effects, Set Design and Setting Up Shots
Because
perspective was developed primarily for drawing and painting,
hundreds of years before anyone ever heard of something as routine
today as a photograph, it should be no surprise that no one had
fully developed this firmly established subject to include the many
art forms which have arisen over the past century alone.
The
Photography & Filmmaking Edition has three parts:
Part One: Basic Theory
Very little of the information within this
section is covered in perspective materials. Yet, these are some of
the most important fundamentals upon which perspective is based.
Part Two: Advanced Theory
This part contains a great many new discoveries
from the causes and behaviors of three-dimensional form to specific
distortion characteristics.
Part Three: Technical Theory
Here we learn basic theory as it relates to the
application of perspective in a variety of different art forms. But
regardless of your particular field, each chapter should contain
something you can apply.

The Universal Edition
A New Understanding of Perspective for All Visual Art Forms Including:
Drawing, Painting, Photography, Motion Picture and Video Game Design
The Universal Edition is geared for artists
requiring an even greater understanding of perspective that
can be applied to any art form, including:
- drawing
- painting
- video game design
- website design
- computer graphics
- animation
- virtual reality
- set design
- display and exhibit design
- photography
- motion picture
(directing, camerawork, visual effects)
It contains two additional parts,
totaling five.
Part Four: Conventional Theory
For those who studied perspective before and
found it hard, here you find out why. This takes a frank and honest
look at the subject, correcting and updating dozens of flaws,
omissions and basic misconceptions perpetuated for centuries.
Part Five: Drawing Theory
This is basically where all other books on
perspective
start. This section contains more drawing instruction than
most other books, including some newly discovered techniques, but
provides explanations as to exactly why each technique
works—something often disregarded or misunderstood in other texts.

Which Edition Is Right for Me?
If you have any doubts
about which version is most appropriate, it is advised that you get
the
Universal Edition which has the same material as the
Photography & Filmmaking Edition, plus the two additional parts
on "Conventional Theory" and "Drawing Theory."
This information is what every artist needs to grasp how
three-dimensional form functions. Regardless
of your art form, if understanding how your audience sees it and
participates in it is important to you, then you really must
understand how perspective works. This is something that nearly all
professionals in the visual arts must deal with, from film directors
to bridge builders, or anyone else that presents imagery to
audiences, customers or clients.
This is information
you never knew before. Nothing else
will teach you this.
